Do you believe in love at second sight?

Available at AMAZON - James Newell never expected to fall hard for Sally Bachman. But that's exactly what he did on the first day of junior year. He and Sally had been acquaintances in junior high until Sally left for a year to go to private school. But now she's back, and something has changed. It only takes three days for this romance to start to blossom, and once it does, there's no turning back. Not that they would want to turn back. James and Sally follow their hearts and their hormones through a year of discovery while also having to navigate social disparities at school, addiction and mental health problems in their families, and difficulty with paying attention in their classes. They cling closely to their group of friends while they learn about the pleasures and surprises brought on by first love. But can first love really last forever?

May I Have Your Attention Please is the first book in the series, McKinney High Class of '86. Five Star Review

"May I Have Your Attention Please" is a heartwarming coming-of-age story that can be enjoyed by readers of any age. I thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in the lives of Sally, James, and their friends as they faced relatable challenges. While those who experienced the 80s may appreciate the references and nostalgic moments, I believe it can resonate with readers of all ages.

James never expected to fall in love with Sally, but it happened on the first day of junior year. They were acquaintances in junior high, but Sally went to a private school for a year, and now she's back. Something has changed, and it only took three days for their romance to blossom. James and Sally navigate their emotions and the challenges of high school, including social inequality, family addiction, and mental health issues, all while trying to stay focused in class. They rely on their close-knit group of friends as they discover the joys and surprises of first love. However, can their relationship survive?

Throughout the story, they learn about the importance of loyalty and cherishing first friendships. This authentic love story transports readers back to high school in the 1980s, with all the iconic music, fashion, and culture that defined that era.

I am looking forward to reading the next book in the "McKinney High Class of '86" series, which follows seven childhood friends as they navigate life into adulthood.
